Improving lives and economic success through learning and skills

Across LTE, our ambition is to make a positive impact on the people and places we serve through the power of learning, training and employment.

As one of the largest social enterprises in the UK dedicated to lifelong learning, we truly believe in the power of education to change lives.

We started out as a college of further education in Manchester but today we work throughout the UK and internationally across sectors including the prison service, further and higher education, apprenticeships, and professional qualifications.

Our mission of improving the lives and economic success for those we serve remains as important to us as ever. Wherever we work, we have the same aim: to help anybody, regardless of their background or starting point, to realise their potential.

Collective ambition

We are a family of education and training providers, working together to help people and communities to succeed.

We work in prisons to help offenders turn their lives around, as well as supporting people new to the country to obtain the skills they need to become economically active.

We work with young people and adults to help open doors to world of work and career advancement through the study of further and higher education and professional qualifications.

Collectively, we are proud to support over 50,000 people each year to build a brighter, more prosperous future.
