The Clink at HMP Styal celebrates first birthday.

‘On Friday 29 April, The Clink Restaurant at HMP Styal celebrates its first birthday and chef, writer and regular BBC Saturday Kitchen guest Daniel Galmiche will be working with the women in training to create a delicious and seasonal three-course birthday lunch menu.

The restaurant trains up to 30 women prisoners at a time, following an accredited City & Guilds NVQ curriculum. Trainees work towards gaining their professional qualifications in food preparation and food service and the charity provides a dedicated mentoring service before and after release to help Clink graduates secure employment, successfully reintegrate back into society and reduce the likelihood of reoffending.’ – Cheshire Today
