Investing in our campuses
Our £140m investment will be distributed across our campus estate to ensure all sites provide first class educational and social spaces, with industry standard facilities.
The majority of the pot will be spent on a significantly remodelled Openshaw site and a brand new four-storey city centre campus.
The remaining sites completing our future portfolio include:
Located at the heart of the booming healthcare and health sciences innovation quarter, near Manchester’s major specialist hospitals, our Citylabs site will enable people to gain the specialist access qualifications they need for higher education university courses in medicine, nursing, biomedical sciences and more.
Our Harpurhey and Wythenshawe campuses will provide routes into specialisation as well as English, maths and digital skills for people who are yet to decide on a preferred technical route, or who may be returning to education.
The sites – located at the heart of their respecitve communities - will also support significant volumes of learners at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training).
Some areas of the business curriculum will be provided out of our Shena Simon campus, near to Piccadilly station, until we develop Phase 2 of our City Centre site.
Once Phase 2 is developed, it will become our Industry Excellence Academy for Business, Financial and Professional Services.
