City Campus Manchester shortlisted for the RIBA Regional Awards
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has shortlisted City Campus Manchester for its prestigious awards.
The Manchester College’s City Campus Manchester has been nominated for a prestigious RIBA North West Award.
For over 180 years RIBA UK has celebrated exemplary architecture and this year, they have selected our new campus which was designed by Bond Bryan and SimpsonHaugh, and provides state-of-the-art further and higher education facilities for The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester.
Since opening in 2022 the campus has provided colleagues with an exceptional teaching and learning environment where they can equip students with the skills needed to drive economic growth across Greater Manchester. This includes a range of industry standard facilities which mirror those students will work in when they start their careers.
As such City Campus Manchester is a shining example of the awards criteria that projects must "display a commitment to designing and developing buildings and spaces for the improvement and enhancement of people's lives."
The campus is home to The Manchester College’s Industry Excellence Academies for Hospitality and Catering, Creative and Digital Media, Music, Computing and Digital and the Centres of Excellence for Visual Arts and Performing Arts.
It is also home to UCEN Manchester’s School of Computing and Cyber-Security, The Manchester Film School and The Arden School of Theatre and the School of Art, Media and Make-up.
A regional jury will now visit City Campus Manchester, and the winners of the Regional Awards will be announced later this Spring.
