Last September, because of increased demand, more than 200 students were put on a waiting list for a place at The Manchester College – part of the LTE Group. The number of first choice applications for 16-18 year olds has increased yet again by 148% for September 2024, and based on the most conservative population growth 2025 forecasts, the shortfall in 16-18 places at the College will reach more than 400 in two years’ time and almost in 600 in 2029.

Strong contribution to skills as College graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted - The Manchester College has been graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, with inspectors rating the College’s contribution to skills as ‘Strong’ following an inspection during March 2025.

The team took top spot for their innovative work and campaign delivery during the ongoing pandemic, which included: the Group-wide COVID-19 communications campaign and colleague Wellbeing campaign the  Industry Excellence Academy and Centre of Excellence  launches for The Manchester College the  Connect2College  and  Couch to College  initiatives from The Manchester College UCEN Manchester's  #inthistogether campaign and digital event delivery.
