FE First Awards double win

Double congratulations were in order for the LTE Group award-winning Marketing and Communications department after scooping two top wins in this year’s national FE First Awards.

Louise Marsden, Group Marketing, Communications and PR Director, took the highest Gold award in the Outstanding Individual Achievement in College Marketing category, swiftly followed by the LTE Group Events Team, led by Amy Jordan, who secured a Silver award in the Events Management category for The Manchester College's TMC Live 2021 Virtual Open Events.

FE First Awards celebrate the best in college marketing, and recognise all the hard work, inspiration and achievements of college marketing teams across the UK.

In a career spanning more than two decades, Louise Marsden’s constant drive to find innovative approaches for The Manchester College and the LTE Group’s businesses, coupled with her unrivalled knowledge of marketing in the skills and education sector, resulted in a well-deserved win of one of the highest accolades of the evening.

The Events Team successfully held a series of virtual open events for The Manchester College between July and December 2020 with ambitious aims to deliver increasingly targeted, interactive and effective virtual events whilst abiding by ever-changing Covid restrictions and under the threat of future lockdowns. The success of TMC Live led the way for changes in event delivery for businesses across our Group.

These wins follow success in last year’s FE First Awards when the Group-wide COVID-19 and Wellbeing campaign was named Highly Commended. In addition, the wider Marketing and Communications team was named Best In-House Team at the Northern Marketing Awards in 2020.

Louise Marsden said: “This award wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing support of the talented, professional and hard-working team around me.

I’m incredibly lucky to work with a team who are passionate about the service we deliver and always put our learners at the heart of everything they do.

Amy Jordan said: “Our successful TMC Live events were a huge team effort, not only within the Marketing and Communications department but the College and wider Group as a whole.

I couldn’t have done it without the support of the wider team so this award is for them.
