LTE Group win award for new student payment platform

LTE Group were recognised at the 2019 WPM Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, which took place at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in the heart of Edinburgh city centre.

Colleagues from our Finance and IT Services departments, who have been working with WPM Education to implement their payment gateway, attended the event in Edinburgh and walked away proud winners of the 'Best Newcomer Award'. This award recognizes education providers that have only recently started using the platform but have already achieved significant benefits for their students and the organisation.

Darren Hamlin, Head of Solution Development for LTE Group, who attended the event with Andrew MacDonald from our Finance department, said: "We were delighted to accept the award on behalf of LTE Group. A lot of hard work has gone in to launching the payment gateway and we are thrilled that our students are seeing some of the benefits.

"The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester are the first of our business units to start using WPM Education's platform, which means students and organisations can now pay invoiced course fees online. We've also launched an online store selling products and services.

Long term, we can see loads of opportunities and envisage the payment gateway helping students from across our Group. This is a great start to our partnership with WPM Education and we are excited about the future.

WPM Education's unique service offering has been developed specifically for the higher and further education sectors, enabling institutions to deliver a more seamless online payment experience.

Holger Bollmann, Director at WPM Education, said: "It's fantastic to see so many universities and colleges valuing the importance of the payment experience for their students and increasingly moving more and more of their payment requirements online."
