LTE Group and The Manchester College have been nominated for a combined seven awards at this year’s Educate North Awards.

The Manchester College, which is Ofsted rated 'Good' and number one for achievement in Greater Manchester, is part of LTE Group and has and has been shortlisted for six awards in five categories:

  • FE College of the Year
  • UK Leadership Award for Principal Lisa O’Loughlin’s role as Greater Manchester Colleges Group (GMCG) chair

  • plus two nominations in the Employer Engagement Award.

This follows from a double award nomination in the Tes FE Awards in January 2020 and the college reaching the finals of the AoC Beacon Awards in November 2019, totaling 10 award nominations in just four months.

Lisa O’Loughlin, Principal of The Manchester College, said: “Huge congratulations must go to our amazing colleagues at The Manchester College whose hard work, innovation and commitment has resulted in so many nominations.

“Receiving recognition for our truly amazing teams in so many categories is astounding and I am so proud of each and every colleague who helps to make The Manchester College a leader in the education sector.”

In addition, the Group’s Marketing and External Relations team have made the final five in the External Relations Team of the Year category.

This follows an amazing year for businesses across the Group, with wins and nominations in a wide variety of industry awards including the Butler Trust Awards, Gold Standard Trusted Service Awards, Northern Marketing Awards and FE First Awards.

The Educate North Awards celebrate excellence, improvement and outstanding achievement as well as searching for the latest and best new business ideas across the North.
