Total People win Learning Provider of the Year Award

The winners of the Skills for Business Awards 2017 were revealed last night (Thursday 30 November) and Total People beat incredibly strong competition to win the Learning Provider of the Year Award.

Total People was one of nine organisations shortlisted for the award, which recognised skills providers and colleges delivering significant skills training in Greater Manchester. The award also sought to showcase an organisation with a proven track record of effectively engaging businesses to identify skills needs and delivering workforce training with real business benefits.

Now in its fourth year, the Skills for Business Awards recognises and celebrates the direct impact learning has on businesses, individuals and communities in Greater Manchester. The event took place at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford. Linda Dean, Managing Director of Total People, and Stuart Sheppard, Chair of Total People’s Employee Forum, were in attendance to collect the accolade on behalf of the team.

Linda said: “We were thrilled to be a finalist, but to win the Learning Provider of the Year Award is an unbelievable achievement. I cannot put into words how proud I am of the team.

“Stuart and I were delighted to accept the accolade on behalf of everyone at Total People and I am really pleased that our hard work has been recognised in this way.

I look forward to sharing this news with our employers and learners, and continuing to deliver training that benefits the employers and learners we work with and the communities in which they operate.

This award, alongside the achievement of the Matrix Standard Accreditation in September (a unique quality standard for organisations used to assess and measure their advice and support services), gives Total People much to celebrate.
