National Employability Day 2018 - Nine out of 10 employers are struggling to recruit the skilled staff they need. by Peter Cox, Managing Director, Novus Research released by City & Guilds and Emsi this month revealed that nine out of 10 employers are struggling to recruit the skilled staff they need.

We hope everyone enjoys the weekend’s activities.”  Novus colleagues will be joining Pride in Prison & Probation (PiPP) for the walking parade, where they will be showcasing work produced by Novus learners around the ‘March for Peace’ theme. 

The Framework to Create Opportunities - Peter Cox, Novus Managing Director, looks ahead to the changes taking place under the new Prison Education Framework and the opportunities the new framework brings to the sector.

Prison reform cannot be solely about drugs and drones; it has to be about empowerment of prison governors and a clear commitment to investing in the rehabilitative services provided by learning organisations like Novus. If the government can commit to providing the resources and reform then there is an opportunity for providers like Novus to work closely with its partners and with HM Prisons to solve the problems that are holding us back.
