Francis House Children’s Hospice  is a Manchester based hospice which provides care for children with life threatening or limiting conditions from across Greater Manchester.

From The Manchester College’s student-led LGBTQ+ Support and Social Group to Novus’ fantastic partnership with Pride in Prisons and Probation, we want every one of our 100,000 learners to feel respected and valued for who they are, and embrace what makes them unique, helping them to achieve their full potential.

The collection, titled 'Breaking down barriers to opportunity through skills excellence' , explores what excellence in skills provision looks like, and what can be done to enable more people to achieve it. The publication comes six months after Greater Manchester colleges and universities hosted the WorldSkills National Finals – the first time the national ‘skills Olympics’ had come to the city region.

Personally, I’m proud of my journey from clerk to the corporation board (governors) at Carlisle College to The Manchester College as company secretary and general counsel. In 2016, my role extended to encompass the whole of LTE group, made up of specialist organisations including the College.
